Control Panel Face Lift
| Permalink

You may have noticed that the your Control Panel has recieved a face lift, or not. Pretty graphics and some orgization never hurt. I thank my mom for the making me clean my room all those years!

Anyway, ARTISTS, you should find the Control Panel much more friendly, self explanitory, powerful, and again pretty. My main goal here was to give you a better view of the control you have on the site.

Thats right! We have added video's to the site!
Check Them Out

We're not trying to re-invent the wheel here, which is why we have incorporated the YouTube.com technology into BackstageFan.com. Whats even better is now you (BANDS, ARTISTS, LABELS!!) can further leveraged the distribution of your video content.

Dont Die Cindy was quite impressed with the functionality available, and the ease of implementation directly placed their website.

Monday night with Crash Romeo and Across Five Aprils
| Permalink

It was nice meeting up with the boys from Crash Romeo, as usual, as they passed through on a local tour date. I also got to properly introduce myself to the Across Five Aprils gang. They had nothing but great things to say about BackStageFan.com, and it was awsome to hear them rave about what we've created!

Jimmy and the Crash Romeo gang hit the streets of Ybor City for a taste of the local Tampa nightlife, while I retired for the night to recharge for another day.

Heartcore Drops a Myspace Bulletin
| Permalink

This morning, from the road somewhere on Warped Tour, Jimmy Heartcore posted a Myspace Bulletin to all of Heartcore Clothing's friends. Even though the site is still in testing phase, I guess he was just so excited he had to share the site!

We're pretty stoked about the response the site is getting from everyone! Angel, from Aiden, sent me an email last night saying he wanted to let me know he was waiting on his new phone to find him on tour because his current phone's camera is broken. I told him he could still send in poems and haiku's, we dont discriminate against non picture posts!

Keep and eye out for your favorite band members and more, until then, spread the word.

- Oh, Im working on some banners for you guys to post on your sites and myspace pages. Check back here.

Backstage Fan Introduction Letter
| Permalink

I thought I would post our little Introduction letter that went out to some of the bands.
If you are an artist interested in Hooking up with us...

read it:

************************ INTRODUCTION LETTER ************************

I wanted to introduce you to a project we are working on, BackstageFan.com. The website is just amazing, and we want you to be apart of it!

CONCEPT:

To enable Bands a means of connecting with their fans, sharing candid photos on tour, journal entries from the road, and much more. All in real-time from your mobile devices!

You may have your own website, a MySpace page, even a Purevolume page, but we have created what the fans truly crave! A "Backstage" look into the day-to-day lives of artists on the road.

Imagine if you could go online and read journal entries from your favorite artist, browse through pictures taken backstage or on the road to the next show. All in real-time! All you need is your Sidekick, or email capable phone! There's no dependency on finding the next internet connection on tour.

We're excited about the opportunity in this concept, and the buzz we've received from artists with whom we have shared our visions of BackstageFan.com.

So what's the next step?

Email me back your thoughts, and if you are interested in your artists working with us on BackstageFan.com. I will setup accounts and everything for the artists, don't worry its all free. I'll shoot you over the information and instructions for the artists to begin posting. We are also gearing up for Phase Two which will enable additional site functionality, XML feeds for artists websites, and much more.

Feel free to shoot me an email with any questions, or call me directly at.

I look forward to hearing from you!
Josh
